SOAR provides a place for middle and high school students to gather with one another for praise and worship, to have fun, and above all, to learn to deepen their relationship with God through the study of the scripture, encouragement from peers, and spending time with our Savior.

In addition to the 2 different youth meetings each weekend, the youth ministry has other events such as 3-day retreats twice each year,  praise and worship nights, as well as fun events such as sleepovers and scavenger hunts throughout the year.

SCF Youth Ministry is open to students in grades 7-12 (year 8-13 British system) or ages 12-18 years.

SOAR 24/7 – Saturday afternoons, 3:30-5:30pm at the SCF Office in Gubei area

With the vision of Equipping, Evangelizing and Encouraging, our meetings create an environment where we can live and experience Christ together.  Students are also encouraged to serve in a SOAR ministry:

High-Five Ministries: – any youth member can get involved in one of these groups, which consist of:

• ASAP Ministry “Always Say A Prayer” – We believe that everything starts with prayer. Lots of prayer!
• Barnabas Ministry – Welcome team, follow-up with calls/emails, candy, remembering names and birthdays.
• Worship Ministry – Leading worship/back-up musicians,  audio-sound crew.
• The Message Ministry – Short sharing at meetings, writing testimonies for our newsletters, helping formulate questions for small group discussions and also writing dramas and skits.
• X-Factor Ministry – General services: set up/clean up, buying snacks, visual/powerpoint crew, and anything else not included in the other 4 ministries.

SOAR Servant Leadership Team – Students who are willing to step up, using their gifts for the good of the whole body are welcome to apply to be on the SOAR Servant Leadership Team.

SOAR 3D – Sundays 4:00-5:30pm, Hengshan church. Concurrently with Adult Worship Service.  In the new Courtyard Chapel.

A safe and intimate environment where we treasure Dynamic interaction, Discussions that matter and getting Deep truth from the Word. 3 D. And there is no need of special glasses for that!

Our time together consists of icebreakers, praise and worship, study of the Word with small group discussions and fun fellowship.
