Throughout the year SCF Hongqiao sponsors outreach events such as the  Huangjingcheng Dao Street Festival in Gubei,  for children and families to participate in sporting and fun activities.  We also have a program with a local migrant school, where our volunteers teach English and character development classes to the students,  and a Christmas Gift Drive bring together congregation members and the migrant school children together as we provide a gift bag to each student .   A charity golf tournament takes place once a year, with proceeds benefiting an orphanage for children with special needs.  Other events planned throughout the year as well, all in an effort to share the Gospel and/or to be a bridge to the Church,  using deeds of kindness as the basis for our “actsion strategy” (Acts 8:26-40).
