Bibletrack and Faithtrack are composed of 9 sessions each that take place two Saturdays a month during the Fall and Spring. Lifetrack sessions take place intermittently through-out the year. Each 3 hour session is taught by an academic expert in theology at a graduate level. Some sessions are taught by visiting scholars, while others are DVD lectures with discussions led by a seminary graduate.
Who are these classes for? SST is designed for everyone who wants to deepen their understanding of their faith: lay people (particularly those in the marketplace), those coming off an Alpha Course and those who already, or who will in the future, exercise leadership roles such as leading Alpha groups or Cell groups, and who want be more effective in those ministries.
Do I have to belong to SCF Hengshan to participate in the program? No. Though the majority of students will be from SCF Hengshan, SCTC is open to everyone who considers themselves part of the international Christian community in Shanghai.
