Discipleship Challenge 2021
We are very excited to launch a new discipleship challenge here at SCF. All you would need for this challenge is a friend (of your choosing), great selfie skills and a location (of your choice) for the next 3 months.

If you would like to get involved, please email: [email protected] for details.

A while ago, we asked you to fill out a survey to better understand the needs of our community and how we can best serve you during these difficult and strange times. Thank you for taking part in the survey. As a result, the discipleship challenge was created.

The rules for the Discipleship Challenge are as follows:

  1. Find a friend with whom you’ll meet up intentionally once a week or every other week for 3-month long. This can be done in a coffee shop, restaurant, home or even the park. The whole idea behind this challenge rests on the passage found in Proverbs 27:17 which states: As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
  1. Write to [email protected]and register you and your friend. Why the need to register? To help you with the accountability aspect. We will match you and your friend with 2 other people who have also accepted the challenge.

3. Once you and your friend meet, you’ll take a selfie and send it to the other 2 people you have been matched with.

By the end of the 3 months, we will make a little compilation video of all the selfies you took to celebrate the successful finish of the discipleship challenge. The hope of this video will be to spur you on to continue with this challenge for the next 3 months and hopefully to encourage others who have not yet joined the challenge, to join as well.

Structure of the Meet Up:

It can range from informal dialogues, where you share your struggles, challenges and even your prayer points to a more formal structure. Regardless the structure, the goal is to allow God to use your friend to speak truth into your life and be transformed into the image of Christ.

We are more than happy to assist and guide you as you determine what type of structure will work best for you.

You can sign up at any time, but the official discipleship challenge will start on the 1st of April.

Our prayer is that you will accept this challenge and embark on a life long discipleship journey with the goal to make Jesus the center of your life.
