Scripture
36 So if the Son makes you free, then you are unquestionably free.
Reflection
We can appear to be free but not free at all. Jesus died on a criminal’s cross, he had the appearance of condemnation all over him that day yet he was the only free person on the planet. Two sons lived in their father’s house, one ran away and lost his freedom then later found it in his father’s love and forgiveness the other stayed and remained a loyal son but lost his freedom and didn’t know it. Jesus is the great Liberator for those who are near and for those who are far off (Ps. Dale).
