A Different Vision for the Nations
Today is September 30th, the day before the celebration of the national holiday in China. It’s been a difficult year for the nations of the world. However, a quick look into the Psalms gives a very different vision for the nations. In the Psalms we see nations giving honor and reverence to Yahweh, the God who is above all gods, (Psalm 33:8) The nations are clapping their hands with shouts of joy, (Psalm 47:1) and singing new songs, (Psalm 96:1). The nations are praising God (Psalm 148:4), worshipping Him (Psalm 86:9) and serving Him. (Psalm 72:11)
It is a picture of God keeping his promise to a man called Abraham, “All nations will be blessed through you” (Galatians 3:8) Jesus is the son of Abraham and he is the Son of God. He is the fulfillment of the promise made to Abraham. Where Jesus is present there is life, in every nation.
