27 January 2021 – Psalm 34:5-6 (NIV)

Scripture

Those who look to him are radiant;
    their faces are never covered with shame.
This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
    he saved him out of all his troubles.

Reflection

In today’s verses, we read about David talking about the people who were with him and himself when he fled to Abimelech. They all looked to God in theirs troubles, and God intervened.

Troubles or challenges are part of the human experience. Even without looking for them, we might still experience them. But we can be assured that if we look to God for help, we will be radiant with joy, our faces will never be covered with shame. We will never be disappointed to have looked to God for help.

Our God is a God whom when we call to Him, He answers and saves from all our troubles (Romans 10:11,13 ; Proverbs 18:10).
