Scripture
I sought the Lord, and he answered me;
he delivered me from all my fears.
Reflection
Today we read about David, when he was exposed to Saul’s persecutions and when he sought refuge in the country of Abimelech or Achish (1 Sam. 21:1-15). David sought the Lord, and the Lord heard him, and delivered him from all his fears.
As we go through life, there are many things or circumstances that may have the potential to make us susceptible to fear. For instance, fear of not getting married, fear of not having children, fear of failure, fear of the future etc…
The good news is, if we seek the Lord, He will deliver us from any fear we may have. The Lord has promised that if we seek, we shall find, if we knock, it shall be opened unto us (Matthew 7:7-8). There’s no fear that the Lord cannot deliver us from.
