Reflection

In Zechariah 11 we read how God ends the relationship with the Israelites due to their disobedience towards God. He accomplishes this by taking away two important elements he gave them. The one is His “Favour” (Zechariah 11:10), and the other is His “Union”(Zechariah 11:14) with them.

Thankfully, the book of Zechariah doesn’t end on such a dreadful note. The book continues to tell about the Messiah who will come back with the lost “Favour” and “Union” that were taken away by God, however it will come at an earthly cost of thirty pieces of silver as prophesied by Zechariah (Zechariah 11:13).

This costly act on Jesus’ behalf resulted in God’s “favour” and ‘union” to be restored to us today. Through this act of love it not only saved us but it also restored our relationship with God. With all this in mind, how does this impact the way you live your life today? (Woowon)
