Scripture
2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.
Reflection
“In these last days” it may seem awkward to say it this way but from the perspective of the New Testament, from the time of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus we have been living in the “last days”. God, the Father would refer to Jesus as his son when he was baptized, “This is my Son in whom I am well pleased. Luke 3:22 and on the mountain when Jesus was seen by his friends in all of his glory. (Luke 9:35) What Jesus has made he also inherits as the Son. What he has received he also freely gives. (Hebrews 2:9-11) Those who love him can do no less. (Matthew 10:8) (Ps. Dale)
