05 February 2019 – Hebrews 1:2 (NIV)

but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.

“In these last days” it may seem awkward to say it this way but from the perspective of the New Testament, from the time of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus we have been living in the “last days”. God, the Father would refer to Jesus as his son when he was baptized, “This is my Son in whom I am well pleased. Luke 3:22 and on the mountain when Jesus was seen by his friends in all of his glory. (Luke 9:35) What Jesus has made he also inherits as the Son. What he has received he also freely gives. (Hebrews 2:9-11) Those who love him can do no less. (Matthew 10:8) (Ps. Dale)

Thoughts for the day

  • What do you feel God is telling you through these passages?
  • How can you apply this message in an area of your life that needs transformation?
  • Is there anyone you can share this message with?

Grab a piece of paper and write down the different parts of your life where you want to rely on God more. Perhaps your work, time, money or relationships. Then pray through e ach one and invite God to be present.
