The end of June is the end of the fiscal year at SCF and the end of a “ministry season”.  As individuals and as a community we are doing what we were always expected to do – to trust Yahweh with all of our hearts and not lean on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).  Why is that this always looks so different when it seems to be our only option? At every new beginning we cannot do any better than to renew our honor and respect for Yahweh which is the “fear of the Lord”.

As we move into a new ministry season we are looking at the core expressions for a community of faith: corporate worship, community, and discipleship. Now is the time to worship…together. Worship together and not alone. Whether you’re praying or singing songs of praise, or sharing the things which bring us joy, seek to do it with at least one other person. Be in a Christian community of people, like a family, a group where the bond is strong, the love is deep and the loyalty is true. In every new experience, every new season, make Jesus the Center and encourage others to do same.

We are going to trust Jesus and follow him every day not because it is the only thing we can do but because it is the best thing we can do. “As it is written: ‘What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived’ –  the things God has prepared for those who love him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9)
