2 NOVEMBER 2017 – Jeremiah 17:9-10 (AMP)

Scripture

The heart is deceitful above all things,
    and desperately sick;
    who can understand it?
10 “I the Lord search the heart
    and test the mind,[a]
to give every man according to his ways,
    according to the fruit of his deeds.”

Reflection

It’s a rhetorical question, no one except God knows what is going on in our hearts for the real reasons we do what we do. We are forever explaining, denying, projecting, accusing, defending, complicating, and placating it’s hard to tell. Hard, but not impossible. God knows and He will tell. Will we listen? (Ps. Dale).
